5 Travel Products That Made Traveling Less Stressful

As frequent travelers, we know that having the right gadgets makes traveling less stressful. Less Stress = Happier Travels.

After traveling through 31 countries, here’s a list of our top 5 favorite stress-reducing travel gadgets. Before we jump in, we want to note that these are not in any specific order and we try our best to shop around to find the best deals!

These products have made our nomadic lifestyles 100x more convenient, and we hope they can do the same for you!

  1. Power Strip

While traveling you’ll eventually realize that time is most valuable. If you have multiple electronics that need to be charged, it can become a huge task to find power outlets.

Eliminate the headache of searching for outlets and get yourself a compact power strip—especially if you’re not traveling solo! We cannot explain to you how many times a Power Strip has saved our lives. If you’re planning to take a phone, a camera and an extra battery pack, you’re already looking at 3 plugs for just one person. With our Power Strip, we can charge all of those items at the same time.

If you have a lot of electronics like we do, save yourself the stress and get a small Power Strip. We use the Mottdam 3-Outlet Cube Power Strip as it’s compact and can even fast charge our phones!

2. Digital scale

Who has spent all night backing—trying to narrow down your favorite jeans—only to arrive at the airport to an overweight bag?

We all know paying for a bag at the counter is always more expensive than buying it beforehand, so don’t put yourself through the struggle.

The MyCarbon Digital Scale is so small, we often forget it’s even in our bag and for just $10… this gadget is more than worth the money.

3. Fast Charger

Next up is a fast charger for your iPhone—because nobody has time to wait 2.5 hours for a fully charged phone. Apple still hasn’t given us a fast charger straight out of the box, and it’s a steep price to pay buying it from Apple ( almost $75).

That’s why we have the IBIS Fast Charger. We’re both horrible at remembering to charge our phones, which is why this fast charger is one of our favorites. It can charge your phone 50% in just 30 minutes! If you have an iPhone it normally takes an hour and a half to reach only 80%. Keep in mind you’ll need to also purchase the fast charger cord, but anything that saves you on time is completely worth it. This charging brick comes in just under $22, which is a more manageable price than buying directly from Apple.

Tip: Turn your phone on low-power mode with ‘do not disturb’ on and it will charge your phone even faster!

4. sleep mask

Traveling on a budget? If you answered yes to this question then you’ll understand that your quality of sleep is going to be sacrificed, just a little!

Most of the time the cheapest accommodation option is a hostel where you’ll be sharing a room with others. So people may come in-and-out of the room, turn on-and-off the lights, or decided to read a book at 3am—cheers to you for reading, we should all read a little more!

These 3D sleep masks make any bright room pitch black. I have slept through early morning flights, bright lights, and even in the middle of the day with the sun shining in my face. Give yourself a better sleep and get these masks… your under eye bags will thank you later!

5. TimBuk2 Backpacks

Not being able to find something can turn you into a crazy person, and no one wants to travel with a crazy person. If aren’t the most organized person (like us) then these bags will definitely help. They have features like: a dirty shoe compartment, mesh pockets to quickly find clothes without unpacking, and even a place to put your laptop.

For us, a great travel bag has multiple compartments, durable material, and can be worn as a backpack. The TimBuk2 bags check all the boxes for us and can even be converted to duffle bags for more comfortable grips. Both bags also have sternum straps to helps relieve the pressure off your shoulders. The ability to switch up how you carry these make them great for people that struggle with back or shoulder problems.

A good travel bag is one of the most important thing you’ll use while exploring the world—so don’t cheat yourself. We’ve tried to save a few dollars by traveling with budget bags many times and have suffered from back pains and bag rips. Learn from our mistakes.

Both of these TimBuk2 backpacks have been amazing for us over these last few trips, and we’re still using them now!

When we went on our first big trip, we didn’t spend enough time researching the right travel equipment. Now that we’re traveling full-time, we see how much easier life can be with the correct gear—so we did the research for you! We’ve tried our best to find the cheapest price for you, and after hours of googling Amazon is the clear winner.

We hope that sharing some of our favorite travel products helps you decide what you’ll pack next time you take off!

Cheers, #TeamTravelTooMuch
